Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season

In a bizarre collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A strange encounter leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative presents a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Newest Free Story Addition

This release also brings the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
