The House investigative committee has made public a set of around 70 photographs from the estate of former convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the third publication from a cache of in excess of 95,000 images the panel has obtained from Epstein's holdings. It includes photographs of excerpts from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured photos of female foreign passports.

This action comes mere hours before the December 19th due date for the Justice Department to disclose every records related to its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs pose additional inquiries about precisely what the Department of Justice has in its possession," remarked the ranking member of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photos Released

A number of the photos published on this week feature Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates positioned beside a woman whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon positioned at a workstation opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest wealthy, powerful figures to be seen in Epstein's estate photos published by the committee - formerly published pictures also show US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Showing up in the photos is is not considered proof of any illegal activity, and a number of the featured individuals have asserted they were in no way implicated in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a announcement released with the photo release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer explanatory details or timeframes for the pictures.

"Photos were selected to offer the public with clarity into a illustrative selection of the images obtained from the estate, and to offer insights into Epstein's network and his profoundly alarming actions," the statement states.

The release also features a number of photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in black ink across several locations of a woman's body, including her torso, foot, pelvis, and back. Lolita narrates the tale of a adolescent who was exploited by a older literature professor.

A particular passage from the book scrawled across a female's chest reads, "Lolita's name: the end of the tongue traveling of three steps down the mouth to tap, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a number of images of female travel documents and identification documents from countries around the world, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

An additional photo released is a screenshot of digital messages from an unknown individual who states they have been provided "a number of girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 for each individual".

Photograph Disclosure Arrives Prior to DOJ Due Date

The committee has thousands of images in its possession from the Epstein holdings, which are "simultaneously graphic and mundane," its press release on Thursday explained.

The Congressional committee first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York jail in 2019 while facing trial on accusations of sex trafficking, in August.

The images and documents the Epstein estate provided to the body are separate from what is commonly referred to "the Epstein documents". Those are documents under the DOJ's control associated with its own probe into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Transparency Act, which the President signed into law last month, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to publish its documents. The extent of what's contained in the DOJ's documents is unknown, and it's likely that much of the content will be heavily obscured, comparable to the committee's materials
