Passionate fans of the pop star are urging that a individual who breached a fence and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Steps should be implemented enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over Grande's Past Trauma

Many followers criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

A number of fans also faulted security officers at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while others requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Numerous of Singapore supporters had waited to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part adaptation of the acclaimed stage musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 Oscar nominations, securing a pair for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
