"We probably would find it impossible to build and design the latest entry lacking the learnings we had in Battlefield 2042," the manager shares with our team.

One of those insights was to involve the community engaged from the start, and the studio started closed fan playtests in recent months.

Their "response was incredibly favorable," comments Rebecka.

One more absent component from the last game was a single-player campaign, which has been brought back in this version.

The UK studio creative lead the design director is the one responsible for "guaranteeing those stages are as enjoyable and compelling as possible for the gamers."

Regardless of reports that the size of the game had put a strain on the different teams partnering internationally to build the title, the director is upbeat about the endeavor.

"Working with diverse cultures, different backgrounds, it's a truly fascinating atmosphere to be engaged with daily," he says.

"This whole approach has been an innovation but something really inspiring because we are partnering with team members from all over the world."

Concerning the pressure on the team, Fas says: "There is demand but also it's motivating.

"This is a major undertaking. It's probably the most significant that the majority of the team have ever participated in."

New Developer Contributes Fresh View
