The star has given the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound award cash to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to protect the United Kingdom's grassroots concert spaces.
He was given the award on mid-October as his new release the album was named the outstanding release of the past year.

"As an artist couldn't be pursuing my current career if it weren't for all the performances I played around the North East, and elsewhere, when I was starting out," stated the artist. "These venues are legendary, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these locations have ceased operations – approximately 16 percent of the whole industry in the UK.
Recently, well-known musicians like Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by applying a minor surcharge to their admission fees, which goes to help smaller concert halls.
He also took part, raising in excess of £100,000 on his recent tour to help numerous grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The donation supported locations that were confronting possible closure due to difficulties caused by floods, blazes and bereavements, as well as regulatory hurdles, court cases and noise complaints.
Some locations were granted financial assistance in modernizing facilities and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and fans.
"The concept that funds from shows in large arenas helps the local stages, where it kicks off for artists like me, is just common sense," the star has stated.
The musician is among several artists to contribute his honor funds to worthy causes.
When the band earned the award in 1996 for their release Different Class, vocalist Cocker declared that the act would donate their winnings to the organization the charity.
In 2002, rapper and singer Ms Dynamite divided her bounty across several organizations, including the NSPCC and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"I also donated a grand to the center, to their gymnastics class, because I trained in gymnastics when I was younger and they lacked updated gear," Ms Dynamite explained to a publication.
Previously, Ezra Collective gave their winnings to the youth organization that nurtured their group, in addition to other local music groups.
And the 1994 recipients M People donated their award to a MS organization after a friend was found to have the disease.
"Winning was sufficient," stated vocalist Small. "The money was the bonus but we didn't require the extra, because we had the honor. So our victory affected another person's life."
In the past week, the MVT announced it had saved several small stages in south-east England, by transferring them to public stewardship.
One venue in that area and the other in the city were acquired under the public acquisition program, which is backed by Arts Council England and supporters who buy "ownership units" in the properties.
